- [a custom of telling a childs fortune by placing various emblems before him and letting him choose one on his one year birthday] 旧俗，婴儿周岁时，摆放各种物品任其抓取，用来预测婴儿将来的志向、爱好等
- 亦作“ 抓周 ”。旧俗婴儿周岁，父母陈列各种小件器物，听任抓取，以试测其未来志趣和成就。
《儿女英雄传》第十九回：“这年正是你的週岁，我去给你父母道喜。那日你家父母在炕上摆了许多的针线刀尺，脂粉釵环，笔墨书籍，戥子算盘，以至金银钱物之类，又在庙上买了许多耍货，邀我进去一同看你抓週儿。”《负曝闲谈》第一回：“我却记得你抓週的日子，犹如在目前一样，叫我怎样的不老！”《新华文摘》1982年第3期：“一个人从呱呱坠地，到抓周，然后订婚、结婚……都要请亲朋好友、街坊邻居大吃大喝，热闹一番。” - 见“ 抓週 ”。
